Our Story

When the right time, right place and right opportunity converge, something special is sure to follow. A little help from God works too! Such were the circumstances for Nick and Denise Wieand as they took ownership of OCS Printing of Marmora and previously Ocean City in March 2010.

Residents of Upper Township, Cape May County by the "Shore", the husband and wife duo bring a wide range of professional experience and expertise to the business; Nick, previously in sales and customer service and Denise, as a business consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers providing expertise for many large retailers throughout the country in the areas of marketing, printing and business development. Together, the couple wanted to focus their energy on a hometown business they could call their own. “Taking over a business that has an established history and is in good standing with the local shore business community was an opportunity we couldn’t pass up,” said Denise.

OCS Printing has under gone a transformation that has included a new name – Allegra. “It is our vision to be the leading value-added marketing communications provider in the area with a primary focus on small and mid-sized businesses,” Nick explained.

“Our plan is to maintain the core printing and bindery services that have been offered for 30 years and introduce more sophisticated marketing services, too. Things like promotional marketing campaigns, mailing list sourcing and management that will allow area businesses to reach new customers they might not even know exist.”

The Wieands are investing in new technologies and equipment to expand service offerings to include full color digital printing, graphic design services, complete finishing services, variable data capabilities, web design, print management solutions and marketing project consulting.

“Changes in the marketplace and being within the seasonal business community at the Shore, have made more sophisticated marketing strategies a necessity for companies of all sizes,” said Denise. “For some smaller organizations, accessing the talent and tools that they need can be cost-prohibitive. We are able to pass along numerous efficiencies in time and dollars by having full-service printing technologies and access to other services that reduce costs.”

We thank the Lord for this opportunity and pray that this will be a long term adventure!
